About

For 20 years we’ve been creating opportunities for youth to act as global citizens through Project Love. Project Love is a simple, award-winning public engagement program that combines the hands-on activity of assembling school kits, with global education lessons that complement school curricula across Canada.

How it Works

Each year we select a Francophone and an Anglophone country to receive Project Love kits. Participants raise funds to purchase school supplies, write a personal letter and assemble their kits. Each kit contains a pencil, eraser, notebook and ruler. Teachers are invited to assemble larger Teacher Kits for their overseas colleagues. The kits are then packed into boxes and sent to any Canada Post outlet, with postage provided by us. We then ship the kits to our partners overseas, who distribute them to students in schools and community libraries.

Curriculum Connections

Project Love is a springboard to a wide range of lessons and activities that promote curiosity and discovery of global issues in the classroom. When you register for Project Love, you receive a Teacher Activity Guide with lesson examples and other educational resources that connect the program to many requirements of school curricula across Canada.

Get Involved

More than 75,000 students, teachers, parents, professionals, volunteers, businesses and community groups across Canada participate in Project Love each year. Together these groups assist more than 80,000 students and teachers in the developing world. Most schools focus their Project Love activities around Valentine’s Day, but Project Love can be done any day of the year. With your help, we have shipped more than a million and a half Project Love kits to students in Africa and the Caribbean.
