African Ball

If you can read and write, you can learn to do, and be, anything. That's the idea behind CODE

Our programs advance literacy in developing countries through professional teacher and librarian training, support for libraries and publishers, and by supplying books which are culturally, age and gender appropriate.

CODE is an award-winning organization that has been honoured by the International Reading Association, UNESCO and the Government of Canada for its work in education and literacy.

CODE currently works with education / literacy partners in Ethiopia, Ghana, Guyana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Tanzania.
