A literacy project that makes a difference!

In some parts of the world, educational materials such as books, paper, pencils, rulers and erasers are scarce and expensive. Supplies we use every day can be difficult to obtain by people who live in remote villages or impoverished areas of Africa, for example.

CODE's ProjectLoveSudan is a great opportunity for youth to act as global citizens by sending much-needed educational materials to students and teachers in developing countries. The program talks to young people about international development in terms they can understand. And it gives them a hands-on activity to help their global neighbors their own age.

It's also an opportunity for students and community groups to learn about the challenges faced by children and teachers in other parts of the world. Best of all, ProjectLoveSudan provides an opportunity to act.

Project Love was initiated on Valentine's Day in 1987 by CODE volunteers in London, Ontario.
